Message to Bad Science Cult: Please Make Up Your Mind- Do Homeopaths Cause or Prevent AIDS?
Ben Goldacre says with all seriousness that “homeopaths cause AIDS”.
But in a recent rage-filled post Bad Science Cult spokeman, the Gimpy, exploded that the Society of Homeopaths are “scumbags”. Scumbag means condom- they prevent AIDS!
Oh well, another baaaaad science flip flop. Stick to busting frog-whisperers. (But then again the poor, poor frogs!)

BTW, the answer is:
No, homeopaths don’t cure AIDS. They don’t cure anything, although they may cheer up people who are going to get better anyway.
No, homeopaths don’t cause AIDS. But they may discourage people from getting proper treatment such as antiretrovirals, which is VERY BAD.
Eveningperson- Oh, well, something new. What evidence except your bigoted self opinion coming from a hatred of homeopathy do you have ?
Homeopathy is proven nonsense. By the suggestion that homepathic “remedies” could possibly work, perhaps people will not take sensible precautions against HIV infection – why wear a condom when there is magic water to cure it?
So yes, it is possible homepathy causes HIV infection.

Are you suggesting that we should stop treating sexually transmitted diseases with antibiotics in order to increase the use of condoms? Left to you folks we would strip even conventional medicine of any common sense.
